EPD Tool documentation

The independent verification of the tool itself, and the report that lets a verifier check your data rather than re-check the model. Updated for Version 6.

The tool is listed as a pre-verified LCA tool by the International EPD® System, which is what makes the simplified verification route possible. The user guide, LCA model report and LCA database report are provided to licensed users inside the tool. Guides and webinars are on the Learn page. Questions: epdtool@gccassociation.org.

Simplified Verification Report

EPD International requires this report to make verification of tool-generated EPDs more efficient. The template is issued by EPD International.

Items marked N/A do not apply to EPDs generated with the GCCA tool. Items marked "PRE-VERIFIED VIA GCCA EPD-TOOL" are already verified through the tool and do not need further review by the verifier of an individual EPD.

The verifier checks all other items. This removes checks that were previously done twice, by the tool verifier and by the individual EPD verifier.

Verification report

The verification report for the GCCA EPD Tool as a pre-verified LCA tool for construction products in the International EPD® System, as defined in section 8.6 of the General Programme Instructions (GPI) version 5.0.0.

It is based on the EPD verification templates published at www.environdec.com.
