Concrete EPD Verification & Publication

by Labeling Sustainabilty

The GCCA EPD Tool enables companies to generate comprehensive Background Reports aligned with GCCA’s harmonised calculation methodology. These reports form the technical foundation for creating a verified Environmental Product Declaration (EPD).

Through our collaboration with Labeling Sustainability, companies can transform their Background Reports generated by the GCCA EPD Tool into independently verified and published EPDs.

EPDs can be published either:

 How the Process Works

Step 1 – Submit the Online Form

To initiate verification and publication, complete the online Form on the right

Step 2 – Provide Additional Required Information

Labeling Sustainability will provide a spreadsheet outlining additional required information.

You must complete and return one spreadsheet per EPD directly to Labeling Sustainability.

Step 3 – Submit the Complete Information Package

To initiate drafting, you will submit directly to Labeling Sustainability:

  • A completed GCCA Background Report (fully filled out for each EPD)
  • The completed spreadsheet from Step 2
  • A high-quality cover image (PNG format) for each facility (if different)
  • A high-resolution company logo (PNG format)

Step 4 – Draft EPD for Approval

Within five business days of receiving the complete information package, you will receive a draft EPD for review and approval.

Step 5 – Final Verification & Publication

Once approved and returned:

  • Within 10 business days, you will receive either comments or a verification letter confirming approval.
  • Upon approval, the EPD will be submitted to the selected program operator for publication.

General enquiries

GCCA’s role is solely to connect you with Labeling Sustainability. GCCA receives your completed online form and forwards it to Labeling Sustainability, who will then contact you directly about next steps. GCCA is not involved in verification, technical review, approval decisions, EPD publication, or any contracting and billing. All verification, communication, contracts, invoicing, and publication are handled directly between your company and Labeling Sustainability (and, where relevant, the selected programme operator).
